Unlimited Abilities’s story begins with Shirley Tramble. Shirley Tramble experienced the effects of mental health at an early age. Shirley’s sibling was diagnosed with a chronic mental illness while in college. At the time of her siblings’ diagnosis Shirley noticed the deficit in mental health support. Shirley decided to launch Unlimited Abilities in 2017 with her sibling in mind. Unlimited Abilities’ mission is to provide client-centered care while promoting integrity, independence, and a sense of belonging because everyone diagnosed with chronic mental illness should feel as if they belong.
What sets Unlimited Abilities apart from other agencies is their attentiveness. All clients are assigned a wellness counselor at the start of services. Wellness counselors are given a caseload of 5 clients. This will ensure that all of the member’s needs are met.
Unlimited Abilities are inspired by the fact that they watch their agency change lives everyday. A large percentage of the population they serve are below the 30% area median income and are unable to sustain housing in the community. Unlimited Abilities is able to provide affordable housing to most of their clients which enables them to sustain within the community and work towards independence.
